Getting real about Authentic Leadership – Roffey Park Institute

by

Gravista Leaders’ Training – 5 November, 2014

Being a leader is not an easy job, as often the long list of skills and traits required bears a striking resemblance to a superhero. But there is real evidence to show that authentic leaders have a real and lasting impact on their followers. Being authentic starts with understanding more about yourself, how you think and feel, and how this translates into actions.

WHEN: Wednesday 5 November 2014 from 12 to 2.30 pm
WHERE: Bank Bar and Bistro, One Shenton

Roffey Park’s recent survey ‘The Singapore Management Agenda’  found that the majority of managers rated the leadership skills of their line manager positively, yet there is still room for improvement. Managers’ perception of effective leadership included leaders who were supportive and trusting; had excellent communication and listening skills; were fair and honest; possessed a clear vision and strategy and had the credibility both in the eyes of their reports and in the wider organisation.

To support your leadership development, we have together with Roffey Park Institute arranged for a unique session to explore the concept of authentic leadership and combine this with some practical activities to get you thinking about what this means for you and your organisation.

The agenda includes:

  • Purpose, values, relationships, self-awareness
  • Followership
  • Visioning
  • Final reflections and commitment

This training will be facilitated by Gary Miles, Director of International Operations at Roffey Park Institute.

Register for this event here by October 30th – seats are limited.

Yours,
Susanna
